Description

BBQ. Cleveland Style.

Cleveland native and food icon, Michael Symon was inspired to bring a BBQ staple restaurant to the Cleveland area. The concept embodies all things Cleveland, as well as paying homage to Mabel, who was one of Micheals beloved dogs. The industrial nature of the project played on the idea of fire and smoke, mixed with design cues reinterpreted from historical Cleveland food spots. The large entry neon focal radiates a red glow throughout the entry and spills out to the exterior patio, a call to action used by Michael for years, ‘Eat More Meat’. While being a lead of creative, Garrett was also inspired to create a custom art piece made of matchsticks that portrays Mabel in all her beauty.
